Overview
Use this application to generate a matrix which links roster hours to a stores weekly sales target, ensuring rosters are appropriate for the stores anticipated sales.
Once generated a store is assigned a matrix, this will be used to set their wage, hours and productivity targets for the store each week.
Criteria Form
A matrix has a descriptive name and an Average Rate, which is the average hourly wage rate for this type of store. Note that this rate is not used by individual stores when calculating their targets. Rather it provides an indicitive wage to sale measure against each row in the matrix.
Column | Description |
---|---|
Create New | Check to create a new matrix, or leave un-checked to display an existing matrix. |
Name | Give each matrix a meaningful name, for example Grade A, Grade B, Grade C etc. |
Average Wage Rate | The average hourly wage rate typical in stores who will be associated with this matrix. |
Min Hours |
These fields are used to generate the rows in the matrix. The Min Hours and Min Sales values represent the starting record in the matrix. Typically these represent the lowest weekly sales target for a store using this matrix, and the lowest roster hours associated with that target. The Max Hours and Max sales represent the maximum for these values.
When the matrix is generated it begins at the Min values incrementing the roster hours by 1 until the Max Hours is reached, and proportionally incrementing the sales target associated with each roster increment. |

Report
The following table describes the report fields:-
Column | Description |
---|---|
Roster Hrs Br/Pt | This column shows the roster hours break points. |
Sales Br/Pt | This column shows the sales break point against an Roster Hrs Br/Pt. |
Wage % | This column shows the Wage % against an Roster Hrs Br/Pt. This is calculated using the average hourly rate. |
Once the report is shown verify the generated values then click the submit button to save the generated wage matrix. Once saved you can use the Maintain Wage Target Matrices application to edit the values and the wage matrix will be available to assign to stores using the Maintain Store Performance Attributes application.
